Attention Is the Scarce Resource

AI can generate anything. The scarce resource was never the output.

Anyone can publish a thousand posts now. AI is already doing it.

What AI cannot do is earn the attention of people who already trust you. That is not a technical problem. It is a relationship problem, and it compounds differently.

The scarcity has shifted. Production was the bottleneck for most of human history — you could have an idea but not the skill, the tools, or the time to execute it. That bottleneck is gone. AI removes it completely.

What remains scarce: the judgment to know what is worth building, the taste to know what good looks like, and the audience that believes you when you say something matters.

I have been publishing for five months. 100+ posts. The constraint was never the output. The constraint is the same one it has always been — the accumulated trust of people paying attention.

Distribution is not a megaphone. It is a record of earned attention. That record does not transfer and cannot be generated. It is built slowly, and the building is the work.

Build the audience before you need it. The content is the easy part now.
